Seller Information

Good communications between seller's and buyer's, make smooth and

Rhodesmarket.com does not control or verify the descriptions or information users post on this site. Some of the descriptions may be misleading or inaccurate. There are risks in dealing with persons who may be under age or acting with intent to defraud. Buyer's Invoice

After the auction ends, you will receive an email notifying you that your item has ended.  If item sold, you are to create and invoice and send it to the buyer.  You should send invoice as soon as possible, but no later than 3 days. 


Description
Give potential buyers a clear and concise description of your product. Explain each feature and attribute of your item. Include your payment options and shipping information. The more description you give makes a better listing. 

Feedback
After you have received payment, you should then leave feedback for the buyer. 

Offers to Buy or Sell Outside of rhodesmarket.com

Rhodesmarket.com prohibits offers to buy or sell listed items outside of the rhodesmarket.com website.  There is always a significant level of risk involved with those transactions.

 

Once Payment Has Been Received

Once you have received the payment for your item, it is your responsibility to ship the item unless specified otherwise in your auction listing.  Items should be sent as soon as possible after the sale.  Depending on the method of shipment and any specified other shipment time in your auction listing, all items should be shipped no later than three days after receipt of payment.


Optional Features
These are optional and may require a fee.

These are optional features that you can use to enhance your listing.  These can be used in any listing, whether an auction, classified ad, trade ad, or employment ad.  These are optional and may require a fee.

  • Featured Picture Gallery - This feature will show your item in the Gallery Featured Items section.  A Gallery Fee is $15.00.  This fee is 1charged regardless if it sells or not.
  • Bold Listing - This feature adds instant emphasis to your listing letting it stand out so bidders can easily see your listing over regular listing.  A Bold Fee is $1.00.  This fee is charged regardless if it sells or not.
  • Highlight in listing - This feature emphasizes your listing.  Your listing will defiantly be attention-grabbing!  It will catch the eye of all buyers.  A Highlight Fee is $3.00.  This fee is charged regardless if it sells or not.
  • Featured in Category - This feature will show your item in the Category Feature section which is above the other listing of the same category.  A Category Feature fee is $10.00. This fee is charged regardless if it sells or not.
  • Main page featured - This feature will have your listing, along with other Home Page Feature listings, randomly selected to be displayed on the home page.  The Home Page Feature fee is $20.00.  This fee is charged regardless if it sells or not.
  • Extra pictures - Each listing is entitled to 4 free pictures.  You can have up to 6 pictures per item.  Each additional picture, after the 4 free, is $0.25 each.

 

Payments and Delivery

Clearly state the payment methods that you will accept. Keep in mind, customer-friendly payment options can increase your profits. If there are payments that you do not accept, clearly state that in your description also.  Buyers and sellers are responsible for arranging for the delivery of items and payment for items between themselves.  We are not involved in either the delivery of any item to any buyer or the payment for any item to any seller.  Seller is to allow seven days for payment unless you have specified otherwise in your listing.

 

Research

Before posting an item, research other similar items to get an idea of the market value.  Pricing your item appropriately is essential to starting the bidding process.  Having a reserve price that is too high can discourage bidding.

 

Responding to Bidders Questions

At the bottom of every listing there is a "Comments" section where bidders can ask the Seller a question, or view previous questions from other users. It is important that you respond to these questions. If a potential buyer doesn't receive an answer back, they most likely will not bid. The sooner you respond, the better.  So, it is important to take the time to answer all questions regardless the level of importance the question is to you.

 

Seller’s Fees

Seller’s will be invoiced at the end of every month.  Your statement will be delivered to you via email.  It will have a summary of all fees and payments.  If you need a copy for your files, you can print out the email.  Full payment is required within 10 days of invoice.  Rhodesmarket.com ONLY accepts payment thru PayPal.  If payment is not received within 10 days your account will be temporary suspended until payment is received.  If payment is not received within 15 days, your account will be canceled.  If your account is suspended or canceled, this does not dismiss the balance due to rhodesmarket.com.

 

Shipping

Find out the shipping cost prior to listing, this is not required but if it isn't listed it may keep potential buyers from bidding.  They like to know what all charges are up front.  List in your description your who will pay the shipping cost, the shipping cost, and how the item will be shipped.  You may even add how many days after payment is received that the item will be shipped.

Unpaid Item Policy

When a buyer bids, they are entering into a contract to purchase this item from the seller.  All winning bidders are required to pay the seller.  Failure to pay for your winnings is a violation of rhodesmarket.com policies.  Failure to pay can result in a member being suspended or cancelled.  Should the seller not receive payment, they need to contact customer service by emailing

info@rhodesmarket.com.  Should rhodesmarket.com collect evidence that the buyer did not make payment, the seller’s Final Value Fee will be refunded.
