Buyer's Obligation

Remember, When you bid, you automatically entered into a legal binding contract to purchase the item from the seller

PAYMENT TRANSACTIONS SHOULD BE COMPLETED
WITHIN SEVEN DAYS AFTER CLOSING DATE,

UNLESS SELLER STATES OTHERWISE

Rhodesmarket.com does not control or verify the descriptions or information users post on this site.  Some of the descriptions may be misleading or inaccurate.  There are risks in dealing with persons who may be under age or acting with intent to defraud.  Please recognize that some users of our site may not be trustworthy, and use caution in all of you dealings with other users.  By using this site, you accept the risks of doing so, including the risks that buyers and sellers may fail to perform their obligations or otherwise act in inappropriate, unethical or unlawful ways, and you agree that we are not responsible for the acts or omissions of users.

 

Emails a buyer will receive the following emails

1)       When you place a bid, you will receive an email confirmation of your bid

 

2)       If you get outbid, you will receive an email notifying you that you have been outbid.  This will give you time to rebid if you like

 

3)       If you are the successful bidder you will receive an email with the details of that sell

 

 

 

Steps for successful buyers

 

1)       Once the listing has closed and you are either the highest bidder or winner of a Buy It Now or Fixed Price sale, you will receive an email from rhodesmarket.com informing you that you were the winner of an item.  This will also show up in you “My Account” under General, Listings won.  Until the seller sends you an invoice, it will also indicate under action needed that you have this listing awaiting invoice.

 

2)       You should also receive an invoice from the buyer.  Sometimes this is immediately to within 3 days.  If you do not hear from the seller within the 3 days, kindly email seller asking for invoice.  When you receive your invoice, this listing will move from awaiting invoice to awaiting payment.

 

3)       To view your invoice from seller click on “listing awaiting payment” under action needed.  Click on the small box to the left of the lister’s ID to open up the invoice.  Then click on “View Invoice”

 

4)       If you are paying this invoice other than thru PayPal, then print the invoice to send a long with payment.  If you are paying this invoice thru PayPal, then click “Check Out”.  This will bring you to the PayPal prompt

 

5)       Click on PayPal and pay this invoice.

 

6)       Once you have received your item you will post feedback for this seller.

 

 

 Paying Seller

Buyers and sellers are responsible for arranging for the delivery of items and payment for items between themselves.  We are not involved in either the delivery of any item to any buyer or the payment for any item to any seller.  Payment is to be made within seven days OR by the payment date specified in the seller listing.

 

Suspended Account

Our goal is to provide our members a safe and pleasant website.  There are a couple of reasons that a member’s account may be suspended.  Violations of our policies, and non-payment of your fees.  You will be notified by rhodesmarket.com should you be on the verge of having your account suspended.  

      

    Non-Payment Suspension

If your account is suspended due to non-payment, it is because PayPal declined your transaction.  Once you have this resolved with PayPal and your payment has been received, your suspension will be lifted and you can continue using rhodesmarket.com 

 

    Violation of Policies Suspension

Rhodesmarket.com will consider a case by case decision regarding a violation of policies suspension.  Depending on the circumstances, you could be temporarily suspended or your membership revoked.  You will have every opportunity to reply to our decision.

 

While your account is on suspension you will not be able to sign in to Rhodesmarket.com, therefore, not allowing you to list an item or bid on any items.

 

FEEDBACK

PLEASE NOTE  Feedback is only left for a seller and buyer thru the sell by Auction or Fixed Price It Now.  Classified Ads are not included in the Feedback Program. 

 

Feedback can be a very important tool for you to use when buying or selling.  I am sure you realize that you can’t please everyone all the time, however, if a seller or bidder has repeated negative feedback, then you are taking a chance in buying or selling to this member.

Each user is given a feedback rating based on the # of positive and negative comments they receive from other user's as they buy and sell.  They get +1 point for a positive feedback, -1 point for a negative feedback, and 0 points for a neutral one. Be sure to check a user's feedback before bidding on an item to make sure they are trustworthy.

Please use caution and good judgment when leaving feedback.  Remember that when you leave feedback it is visible to the public, and it cannot be retracted.  Make sure that the feedback you leave is fair and factual.  Please keep in mind that you could be held legally responsible for damages to another user's reputation if a court were to find that the remarks you left constitute libel or defamation.  Rhodesmarket.com does not censor feedback or investigate it for accuracy.  Under federal law, rhodesmarket.com is not legally responsible for the remarks that user's post, even if those remarks are defamatory.  THIS LAW DOES NOT PROTECT THE PERSON WHO LEAVES THE FEEDBACK FROM RESPONSIBILITY OF IT.

Violations of our Feedback Policy
1)       No profanity, vulgar, obscene, or adult material

2)       No links or scripts in feedback

3)       No personal information revealed about yourself

4)       No personal information revealed about the buyer/seller

5)       No inflammatory language

6)       No comments on another transaction or any other unrelated experience.

After you make a sale or purchase, remember to leave feedback for the buyer or seller.

Check Your Feedback
To check your feedback that others have left about you, follow these steps

1)  First you have to log in

2)   Click on “My Account”

3)   Click on “My Feedback”

4)   This will open up showing all of your feedback that was left by others

Leave Feedback

To leave feedback for other members, follow these steps

1)  First you have to log in

2)   Click on “My Account”

3)   Click on “Leave Feedback”

4)   This will open up showing all the feedback that you need to leave 

Once you have received the item, enter feedback for the seller.
