Ask Seller a Question Form
Buyers have the opportunity to ask sellers question(s) about their item prior to bidding or buying. There are two locations on a listing to where you can access the form 1) just under the location and listing start date 2) where it says Comments. Click on either one of those and it will take you to the form to where you can send an email to the seller. When the seller responds, you will receive an email.
Under the "Contact the Seller" in the "Comments" section, each question that is sent to the seller by all buyers will be posted along with the sellers response.
Using the "Contact the Seller" is a great way to inquire about an item BEFORE you bid or purchase.
PLEASE NOTE: If the seller includes an email address in their description of the item, sometimes the best way to contact them is by sending an email at that address instead of the "Contact the Seller" method. This simply could be that they check that particular email address more often. Also, if a phone number is listed in the description then that is usually the way the seller prefers to be contacted.

This option you would use if you want to set an reserve on an item for auction. How this works is that you enter a starting bid amount AND a reserve bid amount. The reserve bid is to be the minimum price that you are willing to accept for that item. The reserve amount is hidden from all bidders but it will state that there is a reserve on that item. The item will start at your starting bid but it will not sell until the winning bidder has met or exceeded the reserve price. The seller is not obligated to sell the item if the reserve price is not met. The fee for reserve listing is $2.00. This fee applies whether the item sells or not. Buy It Now! Fees You can put in a starting bid that is less than your Buy It Now! Price. This will give the bidders the option to bid on it starting at your lower bid or to immediately buy it at the Buy It Now! price. Once a bid has been accepted at the lower bid price, the Buy It Now! Icon will be removed and it is now only available thru bidding. The fee for a Buy It Now! listing is $.10. This fee applies whether the item sells or not. Extra Pictures

How to List an Auction
Listing an auction is really a very easy thing to do, it may sound a little difficult, but you should have no trouble at all. I have tried to make these instructions easy to follow, but should you still need assistance, contact us at info@rhodesmarket.com
Things that you will need to do or know before you list an item to auction. Once you have this information you will be ready to list your auction.
1) You need to know the value of your item
2) Figure out what you would like to get for the item
3) Take your pictures of the item (note: you do not have to have pictures, however, most people like to see what they are buying, so it is highly recommended that you take pictures)
4) Be able to write a good description, have all the information you can about your item
5) If possible, know the shipping cost
Here we go, let’s get that item listed:
You must be a member and create a Seller’s Account BEFORE you can list an auction. Click here to register.
From the navigation bar click on “Sell". This will take you to “Sell an Item Step 1 of 4” page.
Step 1 of 4 Choose a Category
You will choose the category in which you want to place your item under. Then you will choose the sub-category, if prompt to do so.
Once you have selected a sub-category, it should automatically take you to the next step.
Step 2 of 4 - Listing Format
Click on “Auction”
Category – the category that you choose will show
Seller – your user name will already show here
Preferred Currency – the currency that you choose will already show here
Item Location – Choose USA or Countries
Select state – from the drop down menu, chose your state you want to list your item in
Select city – from the drop down menu, choose your city you want to list your item in
Check all your entries to be correct, then click on “Next”. This will take you to Step 3 of 4
Step 3 of 4
Title - The title of your auction is important for several reasons, but one of the main ones is that when a buyer searches for an item, they search by title. So include anything that will catch the eye of a buyer.
Starting Price – Enter the price that you want to start your auction at
Reserve Price – This is an optional feature and fees do apply. If you want to put a reserve on your auction then enter that price now. Remember, this will not show up in your listing to the public.

Immediate Payment – rhodesmarket.com allows the seller to choose how the buyer is invoiced. Choose which option you want.
Optional – This allows the buyer to instantly checkout at the end of the auction or wait until the seller has sent an invoice for the auction. This would be the buyer’s choice. Please note: if you want the buyer to immediately make payment, be sure that you fill out the section on shipping cost.
Required –The system will verify the buyer's payment before updating your listing with a sales transaction. Please note: if you want the buyer to immediately make payment, be sure that you fill out the section on shipping cost.
Not Allowed – This allows the seller to invoice the buyer manually. For instance, if you do not have a flat rate shipping charge for an item, you have to wait till the buyer can inform you of his shipping address to calculate the shipping charges.
Accept Payments with PayPal – check this if you do accept PayPal Payments.
PayPal email address – enter your email address you use to accept PayPal.
Payment Instructions – If you require any special payment instructions, enter them here. This is where you could say that you require payment within three days, no checks, PayPal only, or whatever your terms are this is where you enter those requirements.
Shipping Cost – If you charge a flat rate you can enter it here. Leave this blank if you are going to figure the actual shipping charges after you receive the buyers address.
Extra Item Shipping Cost – If you have several items for sale and you offer a special rate for shipping several different items, then enter that rate here.
Tax – If you collect sales tax, then enter that tax rate here.
Detailed Description – Now you need to write the description of what you have to sell. It is very important to create a good detailed description of what it is that you have for sale. Name brand names, model, color, sizes, condition, etc.. A good description will help sell your item. This is really easy to do, you just hop right in there and start typing your ad. You can also choose a font size, bold, italic, underline, center text, text color, and fill color. Also, if you will not ship, then you need to state in your item description that it is to be picked up only.
Now double check your entries, if not correct go back and correct. If correct, click "Next".
Step 4 of 4
Start Date - If you want the auction to start just as soon as you get finished listing it, then you will leave this blank and go to the next step. If you want to choose the start time then you use the pull down menu to enter the day, month, and year, hour, minute, and A.M. or P.M.
